The VIP suites are booked "forever" by a small group of people who travel the world, enjoying the best of everything. At a recent media preview of the new hotel, Mark Brown, president of Sands Macao Hotel and the Venetian Macao Resort Hotel, said that when the initial section of the hotel opened in 2004 the response was overwhelming. They very quickly realized they need more luxury suites.
Their answer to the demand was this new, 24-story, 289-suite boutique hotel with seven acclaimed restaurants and bars, a heated rooftop swimming pool and its own dedicated 660-seat theater, and next door to the first Sands Macao.
Brown said: "The Sands Macao is already firmly established as the place in Macau for upscale entertainment and since opening in 2004, it has redefined Macau as an entertainment destination forever."
